Establishing New Job Code or Title

When considering a new job code or job title, departments and colleges should collaborate with their HR Business Partner (HRBP) to assess the business need, role dynamics, and strategic alignment. All requests must include a clear rationale, organizational impact, and necessary approvals.

Steps to Establish a New Job Code or Job Title:

1. Complete Required Documentation

  • Fill out the Classification & Compensation Request (CCF) Form and the Job Description, ensuring it includes a business justification.
  • Obtain budgetary and delegated authority approval.

2. HR Review & Approval

  • Partner with your HRBP for guidance on the next steps. Your HRBP will review the role, rationale and organizational impact with the Classification & Compensation team
  • Classification & Compensation will review and approve requests related to new Job Code/Title, as needed.

3. Job Code/Title Establishment

Once approved, the new Job Code/Title will be established in Oracle HCM. For additional support, please contact your HR Business Partner (HRBP).
